Amara Golf & Social Club is the private club being built on the former Bear's Best golf course in The Ridges in Summerlin.
The course is being completely redesigned and the old clubhouse replaced. The new two-level clubhouse will have underground parking and a new entrance off Flamingo Road.
Private Membership
Amara will operate as a members-only private club, limited to 250 memberships plus 15 memberships reserved for villa owners.
Membership terms change as the club fills, so treat the figures below as a starting point and confirm current pricing before you decide.
- Initiation fee: $250,000, rising after every 50 memberships sold. Half is paid up front as a holding retainer and the other half when the golf course is complete.
- Monthly dues: $2,000 until the golf course is complete, then $4,000. Food and beverage is the only extra charge.
- No Cart Fees
- Membership includes children up to age 25
- Guests permitted when accompanied by a member
- Memberships can't be transferred or passed down to heirs. They can be resold, with a fee of up to 50% of the original buy-in.
- No corporate memberships
- If you buy a home in The Ridges from a current member, you move to the front of the membership wait list.
- No guest fees, with a maximum of 3 golf guests

Development Timeline
The original plan called for the new course to be built between September 2025 and June 2026, with the permanent clubhouse and the villas finished in December 2027. As of October 2026, the club's website still lists Amara as coming soon and has not announced an opening date, so these dates may change.
